Tasty enchiladas

I invented a new recipe this evening. Well, I modified chicken enchiladas as inspired by my favorite Chevy's spinich artichoke enchiladas. They weren't perfect. I tried green sauce from a can, which wasn't great, i may need to find my own sauce recipe... I mixed mushrooms, artichoke, chicken, sour cream and cheese for the filling. mmmm... quite tasty. Now I get to eat leftovers for the week.

disturbing...

I recently discovered some disturbing news while googleing a question of Katherine's... there was a peasant woman east of Moscow in the 1700's who had 69 children! 69 babies! Only 67 (how can you say ONLY 67) made it past infancy... but she had a total of 27 pregnancies, a combo of triplets, twins, and quads.

My uterus is happy to know there will never be a small village of babies inside of it.

NEW CAR!

I am now the owner of a new car, like the photo, only silver. Not even a new-ish car, but a really, truly new one. It is an amazing and foreign feeling. It's a Kia Spectra5.

Things I love about my car:

I can listen to music on cd or radio.
I can easily park/back/turn in any parking lot.
I have a car other people don't mind riding in.
I have rear window wipers.
I have heat within minutes of starting the car.
I can have a great time accidentally turning on the brights when I signal.
I have cup holders. I think I have 6 cup holders. That is 6 more drinks (or opportunities for drinks) than I have ever had in a vehicle!
I have a cigarette lighter, Alissa almost discovered how one works the same way Dieter and I did how those work...
It uses less gas :) I did my part to cut back on gas consumption, really I bought it just for Bush.
It has a fold down flat back seat. So if I ever needed or wanted to be camping, I believe it would be a slug-safe camping environment.

Snow Days

At first thought snow days seem like a wonderful thing. Who would complain? I don't have to go to school, right? I get an unexpected day off to do whatever I want. I don't have to scramble to come up with the lesson plans that I did not write this weekend. But this morning I am more annoyed than excited. This is our sixth snow day this year--which translates to a full week in June that I do NOT get to have summer vacation.
